Stream of Consciousness

This is spirituality. That inner knowing, that discovery for yourself, what it means to be alive, uninfluenced by any religious dogmas or doctrines thinking they hold power over you. What gives your life meaning? What builds your personal power? That trust and knowing that has the power to take away all fear in your life, and bring you the confidence that you are supported, you are safe, and you deserve and can attain the greatest of joys, that's true faith.  Religion is taught. Spirituality is felt. Religion is a culture. Spirituality is personal.

It took me years to feel brave enough to say this openly, but after having this conversation with SO many people who feel the same, I realized the people who can relate FAR outnumber the people who might be offended by this. But I promise, I mean no offense. I just want to share my story in the hopes that it helps or inspires others on a similar path, or to offer the chance for anyone who’s interested to get to know me better.

What are some things we fear in our life? Losing a job, or not having enough money to keep our lights on or to feed our family? A relationship ending, or being alone? Injury? Death? How often does that fear prevent you from truly living your life, or hold you back from greater opportunities, or keep you stuck in less-than-ideal situations? Think about a fear you have. Where is that fear coming from? Now ask yourself, where is my God? Do I have full faith God is with me, protecting me, keeping me safe? If the answer is yes, then think...

Know what we need to stop doing? Saying Divorce is a “Failed Marriage”. There is nothing about divorce that’s a failure. Failure would be staying in a situation that isn’t working for you. Instead, divorce is one of the greatest successes you could experience. It means you took control of your life. You chose to leave a situation that wasn’t working. You opened the doors to a wide open future - that is a huge victory!
